Mezza Luna Tile Company was founded in 2023 by DeAngelo Conteduca, but its story begins long before then. Tile has been in the Conteduca family for generations. DeAngelo’s grandfather, Angelo Conteduca, first learned the craft as a teenager in Milan, Italy, where he mastered the old-world techniques that would define his career. When he immigrated to Winnipeg, he brought that knowledge with him and established a respected business under the name Angelo Tile.

For decades, Angelo Tile set the standard for quality tile work in Winnipeg. After Angelo’s passing in 2014, the business came to a close — but the family tradition did not. His son, Giovanni Conteduca, carried forward the skills and standards he had learned directly from Angelo, ensuring that the legacy endured.

Today, Giovanni works alongside his son DeAngelo, who launched Mezza Luna Tile Company as a fresh, modern take on the family tradition. Together, they blend the timeless craftsmanship of Milan with the precision and innovation demanded by today’s projects.
